Soccoro, NM (July 13, 2017) – OperaCare announced that Michael McGowan, President and Founder, has been invited to speak at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) Financial Management Conference in Hartford, CT. Both Michael and Kristi Bajer, Vice President of Clinical Operations, will then be speaking at the Home Care Association of Florida’s (HCAFs) Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando, FL. The NAHC Financial Management Conference runs from July 16-18, 2017 at the Connecticut Convention Center, while the HCAF Annual Meeting and Expo is the following week from July 23-26, 2017 Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld.

At NAHC Financial, Michael will be focusing on characteristics ACO’s and Hospitals are looking for in post acute partnerships. with a special focus on the Home Health Grouping Model (HHGM). Titled "How to Make Your Home Care Organization Be the First Choice for ACOs & Health Systems", Michael will be joined by Arnie Cisneros, President of Home Health Strategic Management and the session will be hosted by Tim Rowan, Consultant and Editor of the Home Care Technology Report. The session will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:00 AM EST in Riverside Room 11.

At the HCAF Annual Meeting and Expo, Michael and Kristi will continue to talk about the future of home health, particularly focusing on Quality Assurance and Compliance. The session, titled “Service Utilization Review: Recruit, Retain Nursing Staff while Taking Control of Patient Outcomes,” discusses fundamental changes to the QA process, and how it increases both nursing and patient satisfaction, all the while focusing on improved outcomes, reducing ADR’s and Audit risks. The session will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 3:00 PM EST in Oceans 4.

“At OperaCare, we understand that the burdens put on home health agencies today are excessive,” said McGowan. “In an industry where vendors continuously innovate technology, we still work within processes that are not data driven and ultimately are archaic. Therefore, through these sessions we intend to discuss what is coming, how it will affect us, and how we can evolve both our processes and technology in order to not only grow, but survive. In the Value-Based Payment world, home health is a competition between agencies with 50% being rewarded or penalized – there is no middle ground. We want to arm agencies with “the” competitive edge they need to ensure they are headed towards the reward and not the penalty.”

While it is unique for a start-up organization to hold such strong speaking roles at notable conferences, Michael McGowan has been a staple thought leader in the industry for almost thirty years.
